I know I said earlier that Elements didn’t pan out as a comic, and that’s true, but however, I recently redesigned the outfits of the main cast and I fell back in love with the concept. I’m not going to make this a full fledge comic, but I have designs I am proud of just for myself, to share with y'all, and to potentially sell as an IP someday. Who knows? The point is that it is okay to return to and reconnect with art from the past. Here are some drawings of the new designs!
Manga (japanese style comics) is my first artistic love, so I return back to it a lot. I can never stay away long, no matter how many Spider-Man comics I read. Elements was made in that style and I’ve come to appreciate the style once again.
Each girl on the team can manipulate and is the protector of an element. In the same way that the magical girls in Sailor Moon are called Sailor Senshi (Scouts) or the Tokyo Mew Mew team is the Mew Mews, the girls on my team are called the Purotekuta (The Protectors).
The leader is Kaze Purotekuta (Wind Protector). Her best friend is Tochi Purotekuta (Land Protector). Then, there’s Kasai (Fire), Mizu (Water), Tenshi (Light), and Yoso (This word translates to element, but she can control purple energy with her staff.)
